For emerging leaders to succeed, they need to focus on the long term issues that are critical to their success. They have risen in the ranks based on individual contributions, and the ability to get the job done; it can be difficult to let go of those individual performance practices and delegate the work.
In this workshop, participants will learn to delegate, avoid micromanaging, and put their attention on those issues that have greater future impact on the organization.
- Participants will work together on a case study; leading to discussion on strategic leadership and management tactics.
- Using our "Big Idea" tool, participants learn to articulate and create motivating messages.
Focus will be on how to avoid pitfalls such as micro-managing or “doing the work.” Instead, participants will discover that coaching people to achieve objectives has enormous long-term benefits. Participants will not only be learning new tools and strategies, but also addressing a current challenge in their business.
